The Mayor is required by the City Charter to release the Proposed Budget for the next fiscal year by April 20. The City Council must act on that budget by the end of May. To get there, the City Council Budget and Finance Committee hold hearings with each of the City Departments. The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates are also invited to address the Committee.
This Town Hall, held April 30th, was an opportunity for the public to become familiar with the Proposed Budget so they are equipped to make their voices heard with the Budget and Finance Committee, the City Council, and the Mayor.
Watch the video from the discussion of the Mayor's proposed budget with the Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates and officials from City Hall.
